'The Hub' a longboard movie, by Christiaan Bailey. Share a dance on waves, light across shades and shadow, magical places and the faces we find therein. Noosa Heads in Queensland Australia is a mecca for longboarders, riding traditional style, heavy and unforgiving equipment. They surf with an emphasis on personal expression and complete control in the most critical sections of the wave. 'The Hub' examines the various personalities that inhabit and make their pilgrimage to this beautiful place. It features the ten toe talents of: Jimy Newitt (UK), Jacob Stuth (AUS), Jai Lee (AUS), Alex Knost (USA), Tom Wegener (USA/AUS), Daryn Mcbride (NZ), Ashley Lloyd (USA), Dane Peterson (USA), Belinda Baggs (AUS) and Matt Cuddihy (AUS) as well as voice over from surfing legends; Bob Mctavish (AUS), Hayden Kenny (AUS) and Bob Cooper (USA/AUS).The movie captures the unique environment and excitement of Noosa, as well as providing an insight into the travels of the cast including a brief peek at Malibu, California and a fully documented (off) road trip across the North island of New Zealand in a trusty Landrover. Bonus Features on the DVD include; Tom Wegeners experiments with 16ft wooden surfboards, a Hawaii sequence, bonus Malibu footage and a day trip to Raglan NZ.
